We love the raw emotion of photojournalism, the elegant glamor of fashion photography and the simple beauty of portraiture. We believe in dramatic and romantic lighting. We love all things New Orleans and try to incorporate the city’s uniqueness in your special day. As far as our photojournalistic side - we never interrupt a moment. We are an observer most of the time with very limited intrusion and only when it is desired to achieve a particular artistic vision. We shoot for the moment and we have a clear vision of what the finished image will look like. We strive for the perfect combination of timeless elegance and fresh style.

We do traditional portraiture at our weddings. Even the most modern brides still want the heirlooms that family portraiture provides.

Why do you need two photographers at a wedding?

Having the ability to tell the whole story, which unfolds simultaneously, is paramount to our story telling. As a photographic team, we are able to have one photographer documenting the bride and another photographing the groom. During the ceremony we create different viewpoints, angles and moments that help create a portfolio of images that tell the story of your day.

Why Would I Hire Someone Who Has Covered A War To Photograph My Wedding?

Because a photojournalist is trained to capture fleeting storytelling moments in any circumstance. Kathy and Doug transferred decades of experience as photojournalists into a documentary style of wedding photography. The tearful smile, a stolen kiss, a soft hug and a dance floor dip all become part of the collective memory of the most important day of your life. Most weddings are a day filled with beauty and emotion. Our job is to capture that emotion in the most artful and unobtrusive way. We understand how to tell your unique story.

How Much Do You Cost?

Our packages start at $2650. We also do custom pricing for destination weddings and elopements.

Do You Have A Photo Booth?

Yes! We have a totally cool open-air photo booth capable of instantly sharing digital images and creating lightning fast prints. Check out the Nola Photo Lounge here.

Do You Have A Studio?

We have a home studio, but we also love to shoot on location.

What Does My Session Fee Pay For?

The session fee pays for the photographer's time and talent during the session, post production work, your private online gallery, and your order session. Complete orders placed and paid for within two weeks will also receive a complimentary 8x10 portrait.

Where Will My Session Take Place?

You can choose our home studio, the location of your choice, or a combination of the two.

What Should We Wear?

Simple clothes and solid colors work best for photographs.

Can You Retouch Photos?

Yes, and our clients love this extra service.

When Will My Photos Be Ready?

Your images will be available for viewing on your private web gallery in a few days. Final print orders will be ready within 1-2 weeks.

Do You Archive Session Image Files?

We archive images for one year. Once images are delivered, we suggest making extra copies and keeping them in separate locations.

What Is A Session Fee?
